Whether you just purchased a new domain name or wish to use an existing domain name with your Portfolio site, connecting the domain will require that you re-map your domain name so that your DNS Records point to Adobe Portfolio.
Note: you do not need to change nameservers. Please keep those pointing to your default nameservers. You only need access to your DNS settings.

Steps for setting up custom domain
1. You will need to locate the IP addresses you need to remap your domain name:
- Go to Settings in the left-hand panel
- Click Domain Name
- Click Connect your Domain Name
- Copy one of the two IP addresses
2. Change your DNS Settings
- Log into your domain provider's portal
- Go to DNS settings
- Add one A Record with the host/name @
- Add another A Record with the host/name www
It should look like this:
Record Type |
Host/Name |
Value |
A |
@ |
IP address |
A |
www |
IP address |
3. Connect Domain Name by entering the domain name and hitting 'Apply'
Note: it usually takes about 24/48 hours for everything to transfer over once the DNS settings are changed and the mapping is complete.
DO NOT remove & re-enter your custom domain name within Adobe Portfolio Settings more than five times. This will cause a delay in generating a SSL Certificate.
