If you sign in and your Portfolio is missing, the usual cause is that your site belongs to a different Adobe account - or to a different profile on the same account - than the one you are signed in to right now. Your site is almost certainly still there. Sites are not deleted when a plan ends or a profile closes.
Why this happens
A Portfolio site belongs to one Adobe account, and within that account to one profile. There are three common ways you can end up looking at the wrong one.
You are signed in to a different account, or a different profile
Two different things can go wrong here, and they look identical - an empty Portfolio, as though the site had never been created.
A different Adobe ID. If you have more than one Adobe account - say a personal address and a work or school address - your Portfolio exists on only one of them. Signing in with the other email shows nothing.
A different profile on the same Adobe ID. One email address can carry both a Personal profile and one or more Business profiles. These are separate spaces: a site created on one does not appear on the other, even though you signed in with the same email and password.
To see which one you are in now, open your Adobe account and check the email address and profile shown there.
Your site was on a Business profile that closed or lapsed
If you built your site while signed in to a Business profile from an employer or school, and that profile is closed or its plan ends, Portfolio tries to move the site to the account you authenticate with. That move only happens when the authenticating account is a Personal Adobe ID. When it is, your site should appear once you sign in to your Personal profile.
Your organization manages your Adobe sign-in
If you reach Adobe through your school or company sign-in system rather than with a password you chose yourself, your account is controlled by that organization. In that case the site stays on that profile. It is not moved to a personal account, so you will not find it by signing in somewhere else. Your organization has to reactivate the plan before you can get back in.
For the difference between a Personal account, a Business profile, and an organization-managed account, see Understand account types.
Leaving school? Move your site before your account closes
If your site is on a School or EDU account, you can move it to a personal account yourself - but only while that account is still open. Once the school closes it, the move is no longer possible. See Move a school account to a Personal account.
What to do
1. Try every Adobe account you have
Sign out completely, then sign in with each email address you might have used - personal, work, school - and open Portfolio from each one.
2. Try every profile on that account
After you sign in, Adobe may show a profile picker offering a Personal profile and one or more Business profiles. Choose each in turn and open Portfolio from each.
Note: if Adobe signs you straight into one profile every time, you will never be offered the others. Turn off automatic profile selection in your Adobe account settings, then sign out and sign back in to get the picker.
3. Check whether the plan is still active
Open your plans. If the plan that included Portfolio has ended, see Reactivate a lapsed account and restore your site.
If the plan belongs to your organization rather than to you, you cannot renew it yourself. Ask whoever administers Adobe where you work or study to reactivate it.
If you still cannot find your site
If you have tried every account and every profile and the plan is active, the site may need to be moved to the profile your plan is on. Renewing a plan does not move a site on its own.
If you still need help, contact Portfolio Support. Include your Portfolio address (yourname.myportfolio.com) and the email address you use to sign in to Adobe.
