Adding a site-wide background

Customizing your site-wide background

If you wish to change your background of all your pages, you can: 

1. Go Site-Wide options in the left-hand panel
2. Click into Background, Colors & Font
3. Click into Background

Here you can: 

• Upload an image or video 
• Include a background color

Adding a site-wide background color, image or video

To upload an image or video:

1. Click into Background in the left panel
2. Click into the Upload Image/Video
3. Select your file
4. Adjust the zoom to your desired level 

To remove/replace an image/video

1. Click into Background in the left-hand panel
2. Click Remove Image to delete it
3. Click Replace Image to upload a new one

Whether you upload a background image or video or not, you can chose to include a background color. This color will appear on all pages unless you make local/page-specific customizations. To include a background color: 

1. Click into Background in the left-hand panel 
2. Under Color, check the Include background color box
3. Select the color picker dropdown
4. Pick a color
5. Hit Done

Note: Video backgrounds will auto-play silently and loop.

Adjusting your site's background image

Once you've uploaded your image, you can further customize how it appears in the background. To do this: 

1. Click into Background under Site-Wide
2. Click into the Image Options tab

Here you can: 

• Adjust the Position: helpful if you don't wish to cover the entire content area
• Select whether you wish to fix the position of the image on page scroll 
• If you wish to have No Repeat or Repeat/Tile your background image
• Adjust the size:
  • Cover as much as content as possible 
  • Contain within the content area
  • Don't scale image
