Create and customize a Welcome page

A Welcome page is a single-page site — a landing page, an events page, or a simple online presence you can publish in minutes. This guide covers creating one, choosing a layout, and adding content and imagery.

Create a Welcome page

Welcome pages are a type of page in Portfolio, designed to let you create single-page websites in seconds. These types of pages allow you to quickly and easily have an online presence and are brought to life in the context of a welcome page, an events page or simply a landing page. Their beautiful full-screen layouts make it easy to publish pages with modules such as an “About Me” section, social media icons, buttons to redirect to additional pages, etc.

Note: Navigations are hidden on Welcome pages. 

There are two ways to create a Welcome page:

1. When you create a new Adobe Portfolio site: 

When you initially create an Adobe Portfolio website you will have the option to either create a Full Portfolio of work or a Welcome Page. You will want to choose Welcome Page and then select the desired layout.

2. When you are editing an existing website (Toolbar on left) 

If you already started an Adobe Portfolio site with a Collection of work, you can add a Welcome page by:

1. Clicking the + icon in the left panel or from Pages
2. Clicking Welcome page
3. Desired welcome page layout
4. Add a title/name for your page
5. Choose Create Page

We currently have three layouts for Welcome pages:  

• Centered
• Image Left
• Image Right

Note: it is not possible to switch between the different layouts. You will need to create a new Welcome page and select the new layout.

Centered

Displays your welcome page cover image in the center across the entire page with text, social media, and button modules centered.

Image Left

This layout displays your Welcome page cover image on the left, with your text, button, and social icon modules on the right.

Image Right

This layout displays your Welcome page cover image on the right, with your text, button, and social icon modules on the left.

Add and edit content

When you initially create a Welcome page, you will see some placeholder modules: 

• Header Text Module
• Paragraph Text Module 
• Button Module
• Social Profiles Module

You can edit these modules by clicking into the modules. You can also delete or add add additional modules. 

Note: Centered Welcome page modules will appear across the entire website container. 
Left/Right Welcome page modules appear on the left or right side of your site container. 

Set images and background

Where and how you upload a Welcome page image or background depends on the Welcome page layout. 

Centered Welcome page

Background

Your Welcome page background can be an image, video, or color. To add a background image/video: 

1. Go to the left hand toolbar 
2. Under This Page
3. Click into Page Background
4. Click Upload Image/Video 

To add a background color: 

1. Select Include BackgroundColor
2. Click into the color box to select a color

Welcome page left/right

Background
Your Welcome page cover will be on the left. To add an image or video: 

1. Click into the image placeholder Click to upload an image/video
2. Select File

To change the Welcome page image/video: 

1. Hover over the image or video
2. Click the pencil icon 
3. Click Remove Image or Replace Image in the left hand toolbar
4. To add a background for the Welcome page image only, you can check off Include background color
