A domain name is the URL or web address where visitors find your site. With an Adobe Portfolio site, you can replace your built-in Portfolio domain with a custom domain.
Every Portfolio user has a unique URL (username.myportfolio.com), but we also give you the option of setting up a custom domain. If you've purchased a domain (ex: yourname.com), you can host your Portfolio at this domain. After you set this up, anyone typing your domain (yourname.com) will land at your Portfolio page.
If you already have a custom domain, please see our FAQ here on how to connect your custom domain to your Adobe Portfolio.
If you don’t have a custom domain, you can now purchase and connect a new custom domain through our new Namecheap integration, or through any other domain provider.
Custom domains can give you improved exposure on search engines and are easier to promote (username.com is generally going to be easier to remember than username.myportfolio.adobe.com). Custom domains are a personal touch that separate your Portfolio from the rest of the pack.
