Adding a Masthead background

To add a Masthead background: 

1. Click into Masthead in the left-hand panel or by hovering over the Masthead and clicking the pencil icon
2. Click into Masthead background 

We currently accept: 

• GIFs 
• Images
• Videos

Individual images and videos can be up to 50MB.

Customizing your Masthead Background Size and Position

If you click into Options within Masthead background you can: 

Adjust the focus/position of your background (i.e. top, centered, bottom, etc.) 

Fix position – this will keep your background image only fixed 

Set your image to repeat/tile – this only works if your image does not fit the entire Masthead container

Determine the size of your background image: 

• Cover as much content area as possible – this will crop your image to span the entire Masthead area
• Contain within the content area – will show your full image
• Don't scale image – will upload and display your image at its original size 

Note: these options are only possible for images and GIFs.

Adding/Removing a Background Overlay 

A color overlay can help you achieve a desired look and/or allow for your Masthead text to stand out. To add an overlay: 

1. Click into Overlay 
2. Check Include overlay color 
3. Select Color
4. Adjust the Opacity (color transparency) to your desired level 

Note: these options are possible for all media types
