Every Adobe Portfolio site starts with selecting a theme. If you started your site with a Splash Page, the default theme is Lukas. Themes can be switched at any time.
Themes are built by our design team and set a site’s structure and functionality. There’s a lot you can customize but certain style parameters and features are built-in to the theme and cannot be changed.
Each theme has its own cohesive look, style options, and default settings. Features cannot be mixed & matched but there are basic components that every theme has:
- Splash Pages
- Gallery Pages
- Regular Pages
- Customizations for fonts, colors, page covers, etc.
- Content tools (images, photo grids, embeds, etc.)
While all themes can be customized, certain themes have different features, styles, and layouts. The differences in features are as followed:
- Logo position
- Navigation position
- Gallery Page Cover Titles and layouts
- Cover Image Aspect Ratio Customizations
- Navigation Social Icons position
- Navigation background Color
Mobile and Responsive Design
All of the themes are designed to be mobile responsive and have limited custom mobile customizations. What you can change is:
- The color of the navigation icon
- Some themes allow for responsive logo height
Choosing the right theme
The best way to become familiar with our themes is to take a look at our Examples page. Under each example site, you can find the theme that is being used right below the thumbnail.
Think about the placement of your navigation and Gallery Page Covers. Do you wish to have your navigation at the very top or on the side? Do you wish to have your Gallery Page Cover Titles appear on hover or below your cover image?
