Page-specific passwords can be useful if you’re sharing your portfolio with different clients, recruiters, or team members who require access to different parts of your site. To do this, you can password protect:
Galleries
Galleries are groupings of Pages (also known as Sub-pages) within a Gallery page. You can password protect an entire Gallery which then gives you access to the pages within that Gallery. To password protect a Gallery:
- Click "Manage Content" in the left toolbar
- Go to the Gallery you wish to password protect
- Click the gear icon next to the Gallery
- Hit "Add Gallery" Password
- Enter your password
- Hit "Done"
Sub-pages
You can password protect individual Pages (Sub-pages) within a Gallery by:
- Clicking "Manage Content" in the left toolbar
- Going to the Sub-page you wish to password protect
- Clicking the gear icon next to the page
- Hitting "Add Page Password"
- Entering your Password
- Hitting "Done"
Note, this page will still be visible in your Gallery but will require a password to enter it.
Pages
You can also password protect individual Pages. This process is similar to Sub-pages, except they don’t live in Galleries. To do this:
- Click "Manage Content" in the left toolbar
- Go to your Page
- Click the gear icon next to the page
- Hit "Add Page Password"
- Enter your Password
- Hit "Done"
Hiding a page is a great tool if you need to send specific pages to clients but wish to have them hidden from your navigation. You can add a page specific password so that only they can enter it. To hide a Gallery, Page, or Sub-page:
- Click "Manage Content"
- Hit the gear icon next to the Gallery, Sub-page, or Page
- Click "Hide in Navigation"
You can easily identify which Pages are password protected in Manage Content by the lock icon next to the page.
